At top left, pink osteospermum or African daisy, has an interesting curled up flower tip. Cornflowers bend down on the ground from the weight of their abundant heads. At right, there are golden marigolds and Gaillardia daisy like flowers in bright orange-red.

At top left, a cluster of Phlox popped up from seeds that I sprinkled in the beds. At right, the Livingstone Daisy or Dorotheanthus was my absolute favorite in the garden in 2000. The vibrant succulent like daisy flowers have needle like petals that range in color from white to bright pink and salmon to pastel pink. They close their daisy heads in the evening and when the weather is overcast and cool. I loved this flower so much that I made sure I purchased extra ones for this year.

Marigolds, petunias and phlox are just some of the color in this part of the Keepers Cottage garden.
