| This is Skala Beach where we stayed in Kefalonia, an Ionic Greek Island. Our travel agent recommended this quaint and untouched island highly. It is much visited by Europeans during the summer. During the winter, the island shuts down, and there is little connection with the mainland. |

| We're not sure how long Kefalonia will stay untouched since it was the film location of Captain Corelli's Mandolin, which had finished filming a month before we arrived. That meant we didn't have any Nicholas Cage sitings! Drat! The pictures above and below were taken in Argostoli, which had to be rebuilt after a major earthquake almost completely shattered the town in 1953. |
