| At right, Branduff checks out a wild turkey at the farm. This was the first time we've visited Jane and Robert during the summer; usually we go to Aberdeen in the dead of winter. We were expecting lovely summer weather, but instead, the rain chased us every day. We even had to buy coats while traveling. The day of these photos, the sun broke through the clouds and we enjoyed a gorgeous morning. By the afternoon, it was cold, wet and windy again. Cruel irony that when we returned to Houston, we began what was to be one of the hottest summers on record. What we would have given for some of Aberdeen's wet and cold weather! |
